Travis and Mariah's Engagements

I am so happy for my niece!!! She has found just the greatest guy ever! He was over in Iraq serving our country for the past year and just recently got back. We are so happy for his safe return home. We are looking forward to their wedding day! Congratulations Travis and Mariah!

Fall is Here...........

.........and with it comes Fall Baseball!!!! We had a great first game today! The weather was beautiful!!!! I just had to post this shot - the sunburst on his hat is sooo cool!! Hope you are enjoying our last warm days.

New Candy!

My niece and nephew-to-be gave me Nikon's newest AF-S Nikkor 50mm f/1.4G lens! I have a new love! It takes the dreamiest pictures! As for my model, aren't his brown eyes just yummy!? Thank you Travis and Mariah!

I am an admirer of Chris and Greg over at Motofish Images. Their work is incredible! Very creative! So, I asked Rick if he would be a willing subject and let me have some fun playing around with this kind of photography. My shots don't compare to Motofish Images, but I still had fun trying!

Rick is an amazing athlete. He's been competing in triathlons since 1996, and has 10 overall wins. He did an Ironman race in Couer d' Alene in 2006. He is also on the "Raise the Bar" team - they compete in triathlons, running and cycling events.

Brandon and Jessica's Wedding

A beautiful bride, a handsome groom, a gorgeous location and view - all the makings of a perfect day for Brandon and Jessica. I don't think I've ever seen two people so in love. Their ceremony was beautiful! They each wrote their own vows - Brandon had the entire place in tears (including me!). It was just a beautiful day and I'm lucky I got to be a part of it!

I was told Seattle Magazine was going to use one of my images from the Humane Society's Tuxes and Tails event - I was nicely surpised to find they had used two of my images!! This is very exciting for me to be published in this magazine. I hope there are more to come...........

Brandon and Jessica's Engagements

Brandon knows my hubby through work, and when they asked me to shoot their wedding, I was ecstatic! I got to meet them for the first time to shoot some engagement shots down at a waterfront park that is special to them. They are the nicest couple! and you can see how in love they are! And, as a bonus, Brandon gets to become a step dad to the adorable miss "M"! She was hilarious during their shoot! Every time we did kissing shots, she would stand beside me and say, "OMG!! That is so gross!" We are looking forward to your wedding day!

What a beautiful couple! I am so excited that I had the pleasure of documenting their wedding day. They have been working hard all Spring and Summer to get their backyard ready for their special day - and it was gorgeous! It couldn't have been a more perfect setting. I have to give a special thanks to my husband who went as my assistant - he helped carry equipment, helped with lighting, brought me water and food and let me boss him around! I also put a camera in his hands as my second shooter, and he did a great job! The last three photos are his!
