Somebody Just Turned 2!

My little niece just celebrated her 2nd birthday! She is SO adorable! She's already such a girl. She changes her outfits 5 to 6 times a day and loves to have her fingernails and toenails painted. When I asked her if she was ready to have her pictures taken, she gave me a big, "YEAH!". She did such a good job! I know there's a lot on this post, but I couldn't help myself. She's SO cute!

Dance Recitals

My niece and her cousin had their recitals last weekend. They were so fun to watch! My niece rocked the stage! She wants to go to Julliard School of the Arts in New York. She's interested in acting and dancing. She asked if they could fly to New York and check it out now! You watch for her! She's going to be a star someday!

A Call for Prayers

A fellow photographer has just had her life turned upside down. Her husband hit his head one day and the next had a seizure and was taken to the hospital where they found a brain tumor that they believe to be cancer. He is sheduled for brain surgery and treatment depending on what the outcome is..... Her faith is amazing and she is calling for prayers from all! Even though we don't understand why God puts us through trials and hardships, He has a plan and I know He will carry Amy and David through this ordeal. So, if you could please lift them up in prayer, I know it would be very much appreciated.

Below is a blurb off her blog with what she had to share with all. I included this picture of Amy and David from Jasmine Star's blog http://jasminestarblog.com/so you can put a face with the names. Thank you! -Kelly

From Amy:
I don’t know how to write this so I am just going to begin. Here’s the situtation. The workshop has been cancelled. I said goodbye to the girls at the mixer party and booked the first flight I could get to San Francisco. I’m sitting in a hospital bed with my husband David right now. Yesterday morning I received a phone call from paramedics that David suffered a seizure and was rushed to the hospital. The doctors have found a mass in his brain. We are still waiting for more information and biopsy. They believe it to be cancer at this point. In all of this we believe and trust in our savior Jesus Christ who is not only our source of salvation, but our hope, joy and healer. We are asking that you pray for us. I have specifically asked God to raise a multitude of people to pray for us during this trial. We need strength, clarity of mind for making important decisions regarding his treatment, and we need more faith than we have ever had before. Please pray for David’s complete healing.
David is in good spirits and on the outside seems healthy. I can’t really wrap my head around what is happening. I can only trust God. True to form, David has updated his facebook and his blog with a detailed account of what went down. He can tell it much better than I. I only wish I could have been by his side when it all went down. My friends, we covet your prayers.

Season Ends.....

Another baseball season comes to a close. It makes me kind of sad. We had the best coaches and the nicest kids on our team. Here are a few of my favorites from the season.

This kiddo got a ball pitched right into his arm. It left the imprint of the ball and broke the capillaries in his arm in the pattern of the seam's stitches.

My Nephew

I "caught" one of my nephew's baseball games! I was very impressed with him! He is on the "ball" out there in that field! And he is always a "hit" with me! Love you "J"!

2009's Most "Barked About" Fundraiser!

I was honored to be asked to be on the volunteer photography team for the Seattle Humane Society's annual "Tuxes and Tails" charity event. The evening included dinner, a silent auction, a live auction, and a Celebrity Pet & Fashion Show! They raised $600,000, part of which goes to saving the lives of animals that are on death row at other facilities.

There are LOTS of amazing animals that need homes. You want one! I know you do.......... Check out their website for more information: http://www.seattlehumane.org/tuxes2009/

Here are a few shots from the evening -

isn't she sooooo..... cute!!!
